UPCOMING EVENTS

Response to COVID-19:

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be programming as we usually have, but are highly encouraged to host events virtually. Some small in-person gatherings (max. 25 people) may be scheduled in order to augment the virtual events. Personal safety is of the utmost importance and we will promote social distancing and health safety precautions throughout all programs.

Some of the main differences will include:

  • All general meetings will be held exclusively via Zoom to promote social distancing guidelines.

  • We may host up to one in-person event/activity per month between 9/1 and 11/24/2020.

  • Everyone must wear masks and maintain social distancing at any and all in-person gatherings.

  • All in-person attendees will be asked to show an Officer their green passport (checkmark) from sharemy.health before participating

  • All in-person activities will have timed sign-ups and tracked attendance to promote social distancing guidelines.

  • All in-person activities will have a maximum in-person attendance of 25 persons or the capacity of the space (if under 25) per college physical distancing guidelines.

  • Off campus events/activities are highly discouraged at this time. Only those deemed essential to the organization in order to pursue its mission will be held. Any such events will be carefully planned with the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership and the Professional Organizations Council to ensure safety.

  • At this time, no food or beverages will be served by the organization at events/activities to promote continuous mask wearing.

  • Events that cannot be done virtually or with masks and social distancing guidelines will be postponed to a time when guidance permits them.

As a group, we ask that members embrace these guidelines out of respect and care for one another in order to safeguard the health of our community. These guidelines are compiled by the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership (August 2020) and are subject to update as the College navigates the fall semester.
